Hello! My name is Lina. I am eleven years old. I live in Tlemcen with my family. My father is a doctor and my mother is a teacher. I have one brother. His name is Yacine and he is seven. We go to school by bus. My favourite subject is English. I get up at 6:30 every morning. I like pizza and apples, but I don't like fish. On Fridays, we visit our grandparents.

Model answer:

This is Amine Haddad. He is ten years old and he is from Annaba. His father is a baker. He has a little sister. Her name is Meriem and she is six. Amine's favourite subject is Maths. He likes couscous, but he doesn't like fish. He gets up at seven o'clock.

Marking criteria (3 marks):

  • Relevant content: pieces of information from the card used correctly (1,5 marks; 0,25 for each piece of information, up to 6 pieces = 1,5).
  • Correct grammar: is / has / likes / doesn't like / gets up, with the pronouns he / his / she / her used correctly (1 mark).
  • Spelling, capital letters and punctuation (0,5 mark).

Accept any correct answer that is well organised and uses the information from the card.
