Dear Tom,

Thank you for your message. I'm happy to be your new pen friend. My name is Amina Haddad and I'm fourteen years old. I live in Tlemcen, a beautiful city in the west of Algeria, with my parents and my two brothers. My father is a doctor and my mother is a primary school teacher.

I'm a tall girl with long black hair. I'm shy but friendly. My best friend is Lina. She is taller than me and she is the funniest girl in our class.

On weekdays, I get up at six o'clock and I go to school by bus. In my free time, I usually read stories and play volleyball. Last Friday, my family visited my grandparents in the countryside. We picked olives and my grandmother cooked couscous. It was a wonderful day. At the moment, I'm writing this letter in my bedroom while my brothers are watching a football match.
